Coach put me in, I can't get better if I don't play!

My question to you is:

How much playing time with feedback and review will you get in the coach training program you select?

The answer to that question created the coaching program I want to introduce you to in the following paragraphs.  I realized that most coaching programs are more lecture-based than practice-based.

After taking formal coach training myself, I realized that what was missing in the training was "playing time and review of my performance."  The only way to become a masterful coach was to regularly practice coaching and receive feedback from experienced coaches on my coaching in real life situations.

While there are many things that go into making a great coach, you'll never escape the fact that your own awareness of what is running you and how it affects your behavior is the key factor of effectiveness in developmental coaching...or for that matter--any form of coaching!

EVERY professional I know who has become a successful professional in executive leadership, medicine, legal affairs, or science has--and is--engaged in a serious practice of development that provides ongoing feedback .

The most important thing can often be what we don't think about...
